I stopped trying to fix myself, now what?

At the end of June of this year, I realized that I could not take part in the personal growth program I was sure would save me. This is a Part 2, so feel free to read Part 1 here if you missed it.

Once I processed all of that, I came to a place where I thought,’Well, it’s time to live!

No more waiting.

No more fixing.

No more apologizing.

No more believing I was broken.

It was time to move forward, unapologetically.

So I spent the summer just being and catching my thoughts as they went to the place they always like to go such as, ‘When are you going to clean up your life, you hot mess?’

I continually shifted my thoughts away from things like this.

These thoughts were no longer serving me.

Um, like not at all.

As the summer progressed I spent lots of time watching my thoughts.

I noticed how quickly they went to the negative and the dramatic. They told the same old story. They made so many assumptions.

It was old.

And I was NOT going to have it another minute.

I made a NO MORE DRAMA commitment to myself and my thoughts.

None in, none out.

I began to choose carefully what I was listening to, what I was watching on TV and especially watching the words I was speaking.

Our words our very powerful.

I really wanted to be mindful of the words I was saying and the thoughts I was thinking.

At one point, I knew I had to take this to a higher level.

I not only wanted to have more positive thoughts but higher level thoughts so I could create the life I wanted.

I really knew that my thoughts created my reality.

And I wanted an epic reality!

In September, I embarked on a short and easy morning routine.

Something I had wanted to do for YEARS but could never get myself to do (I’ve been a very tired Mama).

Now I was ready.

But NOT to change myself, NOT to fix myself but to set my mindset to miracles.

Open up to possibility. I wanted to feel free and full of love.

Commence operation miracle mindset!

I began with meditation. My favorite is Wayne Dyer’s Getting in the Gap.

I began to meditate every morning!

Then after a week or so I added my Miracle Mindset Worksheet into the mix.

The worksheet elevated the process of creating a miracle mindset quite a bit (more on the worksheet next week).

Every day I really watched the words I used and the thoughts I was thinking. I made sure I had an affirmation handy (either in my brain or written down) so that I could use it any time my thoughts drifted (and they did and they will).

After a few weeks I began to see these results….

Less worry.

Less anxiety.

Better sleep.

Nicer mommy.

Pleasanter wife 😀 – my husband often remarked how happy I seemed.

More money in the bank (what?? yup, I’m serious! Or could it be that I just stopped worrying so it SEEMED like there was more instead of focusing on that there was never enough….hmmmm…..)

Wait, was I losing weight?? I seriously felt lighter & seemed to make better food choices without even thinking about it!

Ideas flowing to me (like The Miracle Mindset Program and another little side project I am going to be working on in the new year).

Excitement about life!!

With my new routine and commitment to a mindset shift, I was feeling good, looking better, sleeping better and feeling much more calm and happy.


Could just a few minutes a day (and a commitment to myself) really make this big of a difference?


It did and it does.

Even now when I have a bad day, feel blue, cranky or just have one of those days (it’s life and we are human so this happens), I am no longer overcome by the weight of it all and can cognitively know that these are just thoughts and feelings, NOT WHO I AM or how my life is.

During these times where I’m not feeling my best, I now rest and check in with myself and see what I might need to feel better.

And I’m sure to get back to my Miracle Mindset routine if it has slipped.

After many months of this and seeing how easy it was for me to feel better and experience life in a way I never had, I couldn’t keep this to myself.

I want to share it with the world and help shift mindsets globally!

You deserve to feel good and to have the life you dream of.
