How to make your own lip balm and dry skin salve

Chocolate Orange Lip Balm and Dry Skin Salve!


1/4 cup melted beeswax

1/4 cup melted cacao butter

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup sunflower oil

20 drops orange essential oil

Once all ingredients are melted (I use a double boiler method), combine all the ingredients and stir gently until creamy. 

Store in containers of choice and keep in a cool dry place.

Yields approximately one cup of lip balm/salve.

    1. if it wasn’t so hot and humid it would take anywhere between 10-20 minutes depending on how hot it was on your double boiler. since it was so hot the other day, i stuck it in the freezer for just a few minutes to expedite the process.
